Plugin for: auto-arranging objects in an artboard to use least space?

Does anyone know of a plugin for that? I know that functionality exists in pattern making software, so that the pattern uses the least amount of fabric possible.

I remember there  was  a  Windows  plugin mentioned on another thread,  made by the member,

eCut Adobe Illustrator plugins: nesting, plotting, cnc - Main

but  i never tested it.

Nearest i can think  a  free browser based  SVG one

SVGnest - Free and Open Source nesting for CNC machines, lasers and plasma cutters

This is called nesting. You also find it in CAD software.

I haven't seen a plugin do that.

One company I could imagine might have this is ESKO. Maybe ask them?

And maybe ask Baby Universe. They make CAD plugins
