Puppet Warp doesn't support svg-file?

Hello all,

I want to slightly warp an image in svg format in such a way that Puppet Warp seems to be the only viable option.

At least, the Puppet Warp I know from Photoshop CS6 would be. However the loss of quality due to saving an svg file as anything else makes that unworkable so I decided to try it in Illustrator CC 2018.

Now that i have imported the svg-image Illustrator keeps telling that Puppet Warp "doesn't support `<image>' object type(s)"

Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how I can solve it?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Puppet warp is only for vector objects, not for embeeded or linked images.

    Try envelopes.
