My computer crashed and when I attempted to reopen the file I was working on I got the following message.
Please advise.

Look in the directory where the file is located for a .idlk file and delete it.

The .idlk would be hidden, so you will have to activate showing hidden files to locate it and delete it.
WIN :- View hidden files and folders in Windows
MAC :- Use the shortcut cmd+shift+. on the finder window

I deleted the .idlk file and it still creates the error.

Then we could be looking at file corruption. Check the file size, does it look fishy? Very small in size or something like that. Can you share the file? So that we can have a look at it

File does not open here, either. It is either massively damaged or not an InDesign file at all -- I tried opeing it in Wordpad and got nothing but blank pages (I think 688 of them -- that's waht I got with Word). Typically a .indd opened that way will show characteristic header info.
Is it possible this file was renamed from something else?

I did change the name thinking that that would solve the problem. I went back to the original google drive folder, deleted the .idlk file, and reverted back to a previous version. THIS WORKED! Thank you to everyone for their assistance.
