Color Management Error in InDesign (Beta) on Snapdragon PC

"Some files required for color management are missing"
This is the error that prompts every time I try to open InDesign (Beta) 19.5 on my PC.
I already trying uninstalling and reinstalling and also the Cleaner Tool. 
When I get into the Color Management panel I can only see three voices:

Customize
North American General Purpose

Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMF Off

I think the problem is simply that for some reason it's not loading the color profiles (since it's missing so many) and in Photoshop this problem is not present.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Thank you very much.

The error message you're seeing indicates that some necessary color management files are missing. Since you've already tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and using the Cleaner Tool without success, I'd recommend the following steps:

1. Ensure that all the necessary color profiles are installed on your system. You can do this by going to the Color Management panel in the Control Panel (Windows) or System Preferences (macOS) and verifying that the profiles are present.

2. If the profiles are missing or incomplete, reinstall the Adobe Color Profiles. You can download them from Adobe's website or retrieve them from a backup if available.

3. Sometimes, permissions issues can prevent InDesign from accessing the necessary files. Ensure that the application has the required permissions to access system folders where these profiles are stored. Hello and thanks for the immediate reply,
I tried downloading and installing the profiles from the adobe website but they were all present already.
I also tried checking the security permissions on every folder that the article you sent suggested, but it was already all allowed in all accounts.
I also tried manually adding color profiles but it gives me an error. I tried giving names to all screenshots to make it less confusing. Thanks again for the help

Hi @Alessandro34199326wwsx , just to clarify the Settings presets are not Color Profiles (.ICC files), they are .CSF files which are not saved in the same place as Color Profiles. Here is my Settings list:

On OSX the global .CSF files installed with the CC apps are located in:

‎⁨Startup ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Application Support⁩ ▸ ⁨Adobe⁩ ▸ ⁨Color⁩ ▸ ⁨Settings⁩:

My saved user settings on OSX are located in:

‎⁨Users⁩ ▸ username ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Application Support⁩ ▸ ⁨Adobe⁩ ▸ ⁨Color⁩ ▸ ⁨Settings⁩

So you could have all of the default .ICC profiles installed, but not have any of the default .CFS files installed

I think you nailed the problem. But now I have a new problem: I can't find literally anywhere the default CFS files.

To resolve the issue, you can retrieve the default .CFS files by reinstalling the Adobe Creative Cloud apps or manually downloading the required files from Adobe's website.

If you're unable to locate them, try navigating to the following directory:

For macOS:
Startup > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Color > Settings

For Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Settings

Part of the problem is that I cannot find them on Adobe’s website. All I
find are color management articles

The .CFS files are not directly available for download on Adobe's website. They are typically installed with the Creative Cloud apps. If missing, try:

  1. Reinstalling Creative Cloud: This should restore default color settings, including .CFS files.
  2. If you have access to another system with Adobe apps, copy the .CFS files from the directories mentioned earlier.

You're absolutely right-thank you for pointing that out. I misspoke earlier, and I sincerely apologize for the confusion. The .CFS files are not available for manual download on Adobe's website. They can only be restored by reinstalling the Creative Cloud apps or copying them from another system with Adobe apps.

If I have already tried reinstalling the software, to no avail, and I do
not have another system to copy from, how can I remedy this? I am ONLY have
the problem in InDesign. This is my error message....

Ok, thank you, I will do that when I have time. Can you please tell me which color settings are best to use when working across Ph, AI, and InD with print heavy design/layout jobs (it is rare I do much RGB or digital content where color is an issue) . Thanks agian

Although CSF files come with an install of Photoshop-InDesign-Illustrator-Bridge, what you usually want to do is visit Photoshop > Color Settings and build your own saved .CSF color settings file. I often choose Adobe RGB 1999 for a general house color space for RGB files. I often choose GRACOL 2006 or 2013 for the house general CMYK color space to work in. I generally turn off all three Ask Me switches so that it won't pop up as many dialog boxes. I usually choose Convert rather than keep original colorspace. I leave the right-side settings generally alone. Then Save it and give it a name and ok ok out of Photoshop. Next stop is Adobe Bridge > Color Settings where I choose my custom-named .CSF file. This conveys these same settings to ID and AI and Acrobat, causing them to be synchronized. I then visit ID and AI to ensure they got the fall-into-line orders conveyed from the Bridge.

Thank you. I will try this. CSF files have disappeared from my computer. Even with uninstall and reinstall, they are not coming back for whatever reason that no one can seem to give me a repair for. It has caused issues when I get files from my contractor then have to send back to them. At this point, it sounds like my safest bet is to ask them for their settings and just match them. Thank you again for these instructions.
