Gracias.

I hope you won't mind me replying here - so it might be helpful for others.

Your pages - marked in Red - are different for each spread.

But the size - height - of each spread - marked in Greeen - is the same as the height of the highest page - and as per definition of your document:

You've this file created for print? Will you be printing it - or is it rather for Web / Mobile Intent:

If for Web / Mobile - then you should create a new document - with the same PageSize - so your colors will be RGB - not CMYK:

Hola, @Robert at ID-Tasker

Muchas gracias.

It's a good thing that there is no transcendent reason to worry about extra space, rather it is a matter of optimizing time and movements, because when going through the document to go from one sheet to another, there is more "empty" space to move to reach the desired point, but again, it is not a problem, as the wrong handling of the color profile could be.

Don't use PgUp/Down alone - use SHIFT - to jump between Pages - or ALT - to jump between Spreads.

InDesing will even keep the zoom level and relative location on the Page / Spread.

To copy the pages: Do I just select, copy and paste them into the new document, one by one; Or is there a better or correct copying and pasting process?

  1. Create a new document.
  2. Switch back to your "source" document.
  3. On the Pages Pallet - in the hamburger menu - or click on any page/spread and right-mouse-button click / context menu - select MOVE PAGES:

  4. Make sure to select ALL PAGES:
  5. Then DESTINATION - At Start:
  6. Then your new Document as MOVE TO:

Then, you can safely delete last page in your new document.

I'll just comment that InDesign's default choice of actions for screen scrolling are poor to detrimental. I can't think of ANY reason any user would want to move up and down in screen-height increments. Remapping the PgUp/PgDn keys to 'Prev Spread' and 'Next Spread' so that the jump is to a useful next view is one of the few mandatory/automatic changes I make in my UI.

It's because you've some astray objects on the pasteboard.

Try IDMLing - export as IDML, open, save with a new name - do not overwrite your original file.

If it won't help - then go to each page, hit Ctrl+A - Select All - you should see where the "extra" objects are located.

Then, unselect everything on the page - press SHIFT and draw a rectangular selection close to the edges of the page - to UNselect everything on the page.

Now, you should have only this / those astray object(s) selected - you can either try to move them - or just hit DELETE.

If it won't fix the problem - you can send me your document privately - please click my nickname - and I'll fix it for you.
