Normally I can change the color of the text by selecting T from the swatches panel and selecting color. Now there's a problem with it. That file won't let me select the T option. It doesn't appear in all text frames in the specified document, but randomly some frames.
I've tried to figure out if there an option that could change the situation, but haven't figured any.
Could someone help me with this?
Below are pictures pointing the problem:
Here's how it works normally:
And here's when it doesn't work as it should:
Hi Acca,
this is no InDesign scripting question. You posted in the InDesign Scripting forum.
But here the answer: Your text frame is threaded to another text frame.
The story consists of more than one text frames.
Then this option is not available.
You have to select the text to get it colored.
Regards,
Uwe

That makes no sense - what is "threaded?" And I select the text and I STILL cannot change the color of the text. This is frustrating! Every other program out there makes it easy to change text color and this one has to be difficult.

What happens when you try to change the color of the text?

and you have applied the “no color” swatch, for the fill and the stroke. Just select another swatch, and the color of your text will change.

Hi Uwe,
sorry, I didn't notice that the forum wasn't correct one.
That was indeed the right answer, thank you very much!
Thankfully,
