After a recent update, my InDesign is now showing all these stupid pop-ups the whole time.
Screenshot attached. To be absolutely clear, I am talking about the entire dialogue box, not the tool-tip illustrateed in a section of the dialogue box shown.
How do I kill them off once and for all ? I've looked through Preferences but canot spot anything obvious.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for sharing your feedback and concerns about the "Learn More" pop-ups in InDesign. I completely understand how disruptive these can be, and it's clear they are causing frustration for many of you.
While these pop-ups aren’t technically a bug, we do recognize that they can be an inconvenience for some users. We’re looking into ways to improve this experience and are considering options that would allow you more control-such as the ability to disable them permanently i

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share an update on this issue after following up with the product team. They’ve acknowledged the feedback and confirmed that many onboarding prompts and pop-ups will be removed in the upcoming InDesign 20.3 update, scheduled for release in April.
I’ve specifically raised the concern about the "Learn More" pop-up that appears after updates, installation, or resetting preferences, as this has been a recurring frustration for many of you. The team is checking the status o

Ok, we are currently at version 20.5. Has anything been done? I still see black and blue pop-ups on a daily basis.

The History pop-up (my favourite), which always appears unexpectedly and blocks ongoing activity, is a perfect Adobe trap that must have been invented by someone extremely "forward-thinking" and "clever".

To tell you true, I was expecting a Preference switch in 20.3 about the pop-ups, but I don't see one.
Also, I am still seeing pop-ups. Am I to expect to silence each of them at least once?
I would prefer a preference switch like the video tooltips. Helpful for the newbie, but I can turn it off in preferences.

I've found a fairly simple solution to this nightmare. It comes in the form of a startup script that selects your custom Workspace everytime ID boots up. When this happens, ID doesn't think you're new and so you won't see them anymore. But you havbe to set up a custom Workspace, which you should anyway, for this to work:

That's great. Nice work. It's reassuring to know that we can rely on the community to address Adobe's failures.

For me, the context bar has been useless at best, but more often it is simply in my way. It frequently covers the image or text that I am working on, making it difficult to see and edit my work. This obstruction disrupts my creative process and hinders productivity. At least the context bar can be turned off, which is a relief.
Now in InDesign, every time I click on an image, a popup tutorial video about how to use the new text-to-image AI feature appears from the context bar This video covers about a third of my screen and whatever image I have selected. This is extremely frustrating as it prevents me from continuing with my project without first closing the video.
I strongly believe that these popups—whether advertisements or tutorials—should not interfere with the workspace. I hope this does not become a common practice, as it greatly impacts the user experience.

The Context Bar can be disabled by either clicking the three dots on the bar to access its menu, or via the Window > Contextual Task Bar.
I also think that after clicking 'Got It' the video won't show again.

Amen. Thank goodness the contextual menu pop up can be turned off. It always is located exactly where you need to be actually working. Who needs this anyway, when those options and more are nearly always a right-click away when you actually want it.
I agree--the tutorial pop up windows are also ridiculous. If you want easy access to tutorials for users who do not understand what the HELP menu is for, just put an icon at the top right that can be clicked. Even worse is when that pop up forces you to click on it to continue working.

My wife is starting to use Photoshop again. After a few years of these annoying pop ups having grown to a ridiculous number, she was confused as to how to get rid of them, and I have to go through and remove all of them for her. As a regular user I've taken all the junk away leaving the pristine version of Photoshop without popups bugging the heck out of me. Please stop adding junk to obscure what I'm doing. I still find myself having to check the box "Don't Show Again" still on ocassion, the latest is when I turn a JPEG into a Photoshop ducument and it says I'll lose the JPEG info. Duh. Don't get me started on the toolbar changes. Yikes!

Both options listed below in "Correct answer" remove both the Task Bar and the much more annoying pop up window with an instruction video. I want the Task Bar, not the pop up window. Once might be ok, but it pops up every time layer with mask selected. Must have "dismissed" it 30 times working on last image.

"Closing the Task Bar" is not a solution for those that want to use the Task Bar, we may call this a "Workaround" for some customers.
Resetting this folder may help...

annoying popup every time an image is moved in InDesign
Every time I move an image in InDesign, I see this annoying popup trying to coax me into using the next AI beta feature that Adobe is cramming into its software these days. I see Adobe community posts going back more than 6 years asking how similar annoying popups can be disabled on a number of Adobe apps. Please advise. And Adobe Development team, please make these optional without the need for the user to make registry edits!
And no, I don't want to keep clicking "Got It". I just want these helpul annoying popups to stop spamming my workflow.

So, for anyone else tired of this particular annoyance, you can go to Windows > Contextual Task Bar and make sure it is unchecked.

Of course, there is always a choice.
There are several other progs that do the same, some a lot cheaper as well.....
