I can't find a solution for a problem in InDesign, I searched it on Google but found no solution, so i try it here. When I use a gradient feather (shift + g) on a picture in InDesign, the background color changes. How do I maintain the background color and add a gradient feather to a photo? When I add a gradient to a photo with a color background behind it, it becomes very soft in color and I want to keep the original color. Anyone?

Dear Guest, @marlieswijke and @sophiek80339846.
I may be only a thousand days late but I just found a setting I just found in the Edit menu called "Transparency Blend Space". Originally it is in in CMYK but changing to RGB fixed the color issue for me.

Hi @Biswas Art,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing the solution that worked for you. @marlieswijke please try the suggestion, and in case you still need assistance, please share the version of InDesign, OS, & a small video of the workflow. We'll try our best to assist you with this.
Thanks
Rishabh
