Apply a character style to capitalized words with the language [No Language].

Thank you, Willi, for your quick reply.

Unfortunately, I do not understand how your solution helps me find spelling errors for only UNcapitalized words.

Plus, it seems it would take forever to apply characters style sheet to every capitalized word in an 80-page magazine.

And what specifications would that character style sheet include?

You could use the GREP Find/change to apply the character styles. I believe this would work: Find "\u\u+" and apply the character style set to No Language.

The spell checker only checks words that have a language applied to them.

I appreciate the replies, but as someone who has no clue about how to use GREP, that answer is  not useful. Nor did I understand the first reply. I'm someone who needs step-by-step instruction and definition of terms. Alas....

@Editorial-Design

- Create a new CharStyle - set formatting you want + [No Language]

- Hit Ctrl+F, switch to GREP tab, type "\u\u+" - without " - into Find field, select newly created CharStyle in Change to options

- Hit Change All.

Of course, try on a copy of your file.

Yes, but I think I've made it a bit more step-by-step - as requested.

There are a couple of gifs that show the character style creation and the find/change operation.
