I exported a .idml file..

  1.open Indesign Application
  2. export > idml format

then open a .idml file by text editor, but text was garbled.

It looks like a binary file..!? or unknown charset file.

How can I view a .idml file?

IDML is a ZIPed package - you need to rename your file - or simply add ".zip" at the end.

Frankly, I'm not clear on what the OP wants, whether it's access to the more human-readable archive of many XML files within the IDML file, or, as expressly asked:

My reply was not aimed at negating yours, only to add the other possibility.

Open it in InDesign CS4 or higer.

What do you want to accomplish with that fiele other than using in InDesign.

Okay, there are some programs for translation where XML (IDML is a packaged XML file) can be used. But it is not so simple.

There are various reasons why you would want to open any XML files inside an IDML file. For example, some problems cannot be fixed in InDesign, but can be solved by directly changing one or more of the XML file.

@淳介29497445lk5c 's problem is one of encoding. To show the Japanese characters characters correctly, the text editor's encoding should be set correctly. UTF-8 or UTF-16 should do.

It's not necessary to rename and unzip the IDML file, by the way. 7-Zip, for instance, can open any zip file, no matter how it's named, and open and modify any (text) file directly. And it's free. You could also use HTML/XML/Epub editors such as Oxygen  (not free) to modify zip files directly without the need to unpack and repack.
