So, that's what happens.
I know you are aware of it, but searching for maybe an answer, I see posts going back for years, with the same problem. I see CS6 posts! There might be something fundamentally wrong with the app, no?
I've reset preferences, and everything else I found searching the topic, nothing helps.
Anyway, uninstalling and switching to 18.1 let's me work. And that's what I am paying a lot of money for. This should not happen with a pro program like Indesign.

Can you confirm the version of your operating system and the type of hardware you have (free space on the hard drive, graphics card, processor, RAM....)

I have about 500GB free space on an Nvme 1TB ssd, Nvidia 1660super, AMD 3800x, 32GB Ram... everything works just fine with every other program I have. Thank you

Adobe knows of the issue and they are working on it, I read in another tread, while searching this. But they are working on it since CS6 or even earlier.And it always comes back. That's what worries me!
