It's been 3 or 4 days now, my InDesign wont launch, it blinks the initial loading screen once and that's it.
I've been deleting and re-installing inDesign all over again everyday in the morning. After re-installing I can launch it only once, but when I close the software and try to launch again, it won't work. And I have to do it again deleting > re-installing > to be able to launch just once.
Can somebody please help me? My inDesign and my computer are updated, which is a MacBook Pro 14' 2021 M1 Pro 16GB, running Ventura 13.2.1
Thank you all.

Version 18.5 is quite buggy ... or your preferences got corrupted.
Try resetting first:
If it won't work - use CC Cleaner tool - if still won't help - you'll have to install 18.4

I was plagued by the same problem, having to uninstall and reinstall InDesign constantly, trying to remember to close files but never quit InDesign.
Then I saw Uwe Laubender's advice and updated to the latest Mac OS Ventura 13.5.1 and that immediately solved the problem.

Just lately, many macOS users have been forcing a patch/update of their macOS to 13.5 and this has been resolving the problem for many. Some further say they must roll ID back to 18.4 if the problem is 18.5

Just want to say... we are on 19.0 and the problem is still happening, can only work on 18.3
Sigh...

Hi @manuhsu,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. If this is happening on macOS Ventura, this has been reported by other users and the issue was resolved after updating to the latest version of Ventura, which is 13.6. Please update and let us know if you need further assistance.
Note: Please ensure you're updating to the latest version of Ventura which is 13.6 and not macOS Sonoma, as we're currently in the process of testing and optimizing our latest apps to run on macOS 14 Sonoma.
Thanks
Rishabh

what versions of macOS are your running on your Macs?

1 version behind, why does this happen to be fixed by changing os in the first place? It happens as well on prior versions of indesign even tho it ran fine this summer. I don't have time to update for a while still, its a good bummer!

What EXACT version of macOS are you running? (Not sure what "1 version behind" means).
If you're on macOS Ventura then the issue you described is known to be fixed on macOS 13.5. If you're running any earlier versions then make sure to update to the current Ventura version (macOS 13.6.x).
Just don't upgrade to macOS 14 Sonoma - InDesign doesn't fully support it yet (or, maybe more accurately, Apple didn't yet fix their bugs that prevent InDesign from running reliably on Sonoma).
That's the current situation. If it doesn't apply to your setup or doesn't help then let us know your exact versions of macOS and InDesign.

Did you read all of the posts in this and the other discussions? This was fixed by Apple in 13.5. Upgrade the machines but DO NOT INSTALL SONOMA!

Hello, everyone!
To be honest this issue made me tired for a while so I stopped trying to update InDesign and kept working on 18.3 version.
Today I decided to try a new one (19.2) in my Apple M1 Pro | Sonoma 14.2.1 and seems to work perfectly fine! Finally!
Hope I don't have to get back here! =D
Have a gone one!
