Hi everyone! I'm having issues with my indesign. Everytime I want to draw an object, move an object create a new one... the canvas goes all white and I can't really see anything.
I'm working on MacBook Air, Sonoma 14.7, InDesign 2025 (20.0.1). I did read that there were similar issues but I thought they have been fixed?
TIA!

As of now, the product team suspects that the issue might be related to the latest macOS update. To help us investigate further, could you please share the following macOS details:
1. macOS version (e.g., macOS Sequoia 14.0).
2. Any recent updates or changes made to your operating system.
This information will help the team pinpoint the root cause more effectively. In the meantime, I’ll continue to keep you posted on any updates or fixes.

Did you try to toggle GPU Performance in Preferences?

It's greyed out for some reason

Then GPU is not the culprit...
Do you experience the same problem in InDesign 2024 (you can install it from the Creative Cloud app if needed)?

Which one is the 2024? I have revrted t the previous version and nothing changed.

2024 is 19.x (yes, CC app is confusing as it doesn't list the actual app names but only their versions).
P.S. You can add your voice to the request to list the full app names with their year here:

Okey, so the latest 2024 version is working well. Super strange because the 2025 was working last week... and now I have incompatbale versions to deal with...

Ok I could now reproduce it too after updating to 20.0.1.
Definitely a new bug in this update.
You can roll back to 20.0 in the Creative Cloud app:

My last reply disappeared. I have installed the latest 2024 version which is the 19.5.1 and the problem is gone. Now I have incompatible versions issue becasue all of my files from last weeks are in 2025 versions, when that version was working without issues...

P.S. Turning GPU on MacBook Pro M1 actually did solve the issue for me, which doesn't help you as you don't even have this option available.

Would you happen to know why it's greyed out?

Okey so already twice my reply disappears. I installed the latest 2024 version and the problem is sorted... but now I can't open any of my recent files because they were created in 2025 version and are incompatible with 2024 version 🙄🙄🙄😢😢😢

First, when you open your InDesign 2025 files in InDesign 2024, it should offer you an option to convert them to the older version. You don't get this dialog?
In any case, you can also open them in 2025 then export as IDML, then open IDML in 2024. If you need to re-install InDesign 2025 from Creative Cloud, make sure to uncheck the option to remove older versions.

As further tests revealed, reverting to 20.0 doesn't make this bug go away, even though it appears to be only introduced in 20.0.1.

Hello everyone!
I'm experiencing an issue in InDesign 2025 that doesn't occur in the 2024 version.
When I pick up or drag/select/create (with the mouse/pen) a text element, image, or graphic - any kind of
element - the workspace turns the color of the general background (in this case, dark grey) or white like in the video below, and I can’t see where I’m dragging the element. If I move it using the keyboard arrows, it’s fine, but whenever I use the pen, the issue occurs.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Do you know how to fix it?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for sharing the details! Could you let me know the operating system you're using? Also, is this issue specific to a particular file, or does it happen with all files in InDesign 2025?
Looking forward to your response!
