InDesign edit completely blocked

Question

Hello,

As of yesterday, i can no longer edit any InDesign file (new, old, template of any kind).

I can open a file but am only capable of seeing the file and navigating/ zooming on the page using the "hand".

Rest is literaly impossible.

Any chance someone can help me with that?

Hi Claire,

A user had a similar issue and was able to resolve it by resetting Preferences in InDesign. See Restore Preferences in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html

I would also recommend going through the references community post (https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html) for other solutions and best practices.
