InDesign Images and Creative Cloud/Collaborative Edits

Hi everyone,

My question is regarding images when InDesign files are shared via the Creative Cloud and edited by multiple users.

There is a file my co-worker and I are both working on, and any image she placed looks terrible when I export to PDF and vice versa, but our own placed images look just fine. I tried placing from a folder in Creative Cloud as well, and the image was still low quality.

What can we do that will allow for us to BOTH add images to the file but also maintain quality?

Thank you!

Meghan

If you're collaborating using via a cloud service, be sure you both have full access to the files and that links are fully updated before exporting to PDF.

I am not sure how to check this - we are using the CCF folder to access the shared InDesign file.

Your CC account installs a sync’ing folder in your computer’s user folder named Creative Cloud Files. You can move ID files and assets into the CCF folder and invite other CC users sync. See this thread:

We are both editing via that folder, but still struggling with how to ensure the images I add show up as clear for her when we export and vice versa. At this point, it's on ONE person to link all images, and then if a change needs to be made, that person also has to export to PDF. I read through the thread and didn't see anything that jumped out at me. Any other ideas?

Did you send an Invite to your co-worker and did they accept? Right-click the folder you want to share and choose View on Website, then send the invite—make sure to allow editing on the folder:
