Has there been an update that glitches artifacting of master page items? It's now Feb 26 2025 here.
Is this now?
Helllooooo????
Thanks for any help.

Could you describe what it is you are doing, what you are seeing, what you want to accomplish?
Could you tell us the version of InDesign, and the version of your operating system?
Can you describe what you are exporting, and how you are doing that?

I believe the parent page items are artifiacts automatically. Have you checked their status in PDF? (I'm assuming you are exporting to PDF.) Depending on your InDesign version, you may have just run into the change. (Since you referred to "master" pages, I'm assuming you are using an older version, but it could just be habit.)
Here is another thread about this issue:

Never seen that 'glitch', are you sure you did not detach them (ctr/shfit -Windows- or cmnd/shift - Mac - clicked) on master page items?

Thanks for answering everyone.
Not sure why I didn't get an email telling me folks responded.
I'm on InDesign 20.1 x64 Windows 10, as of 20250227.
Exporting to Interactive PDF (typical settings) and verifying in PAC3/PAC2024.
It seems that I can NOT create an object in InDesign and export it as an artifact, in either Master Parent pages nor regular pages. I have to use Illustrator to create objects, then it will artifact. I don't remember this happening before. Maybe I always used Illustrator to create objects in the past for my Parent pages. Not sure. Seems this would be an option in InDesign, but I can't find it or figure it out. Thanks again, but I seem to have found an Illustrator work around. Did I answer my own question? Do I get a green check mark? 🙂

...to be honest, your answer does not make any sense to me at all... 🤨 Are you confusing paths or the PAC message on 'non essential artifacted item' etc? Illustrator has nothing to do with this at all... 🧐
