The new InDesign MAX version 18.0 brings you a bundle of exciting features & enhancements as mentioned below:-
Auto Style (Technology Preview): -
The new "Auto-Style"(Tech Preview) feature provides you the power to select any style pack from our content-aware style packs and automatically update the style of your document based on the content type. You can also create, edit, and apply custom styles and use them, saving valuable time used for formatting.
Enhanced copy paste workflow between InDesign & other apps:-
Now, you can copy text with formatting from apps like Adobe Illustrator & paste it in an InDesign documents without loosing the effects & actual format.
New Graphic formats supported in InDesign:-
InDesign 18.0 supports importing new graphic formats like HEIC, HEIF, WEBP, and JP2K files in their native formats in InDesign.
Easily duplicate page or spread after selection: -
In the previous versions duplicating a page or spread in a large file was a tedious task for the designer because it used to place the duplicated page at the very end of the file. However, ID V18.0 has solved that problem & Now, you can paste a page/spread immediately after the copied page or at the end of the file as required.
Good news for the users who love to automate tasks. The ID 18.0 version scripting now includes modern JavaScript capabilities. Developers can now use UXP Scripting alongside VBScript, AppleScript, and JavaScript.
The InDesign MAX update allows you to preview your InDesign documents (.indd) in the file explorer of Windows OS & finder in macOS without opening the file.
Note:- This is a phase-wise rollout, and the updates will be available to users of different countries in the next few days.
