Indesign with warning sounds

Hello, my Indesign is making warning sounds, when I open some windows on the program(See the video). Does anybody know how to fix this? It happen when I Installed the newest version on my computer (2023).

Olá, se existir alguma alma que possa me explicar o porque meu indesign fica fazendo sons de alerta do windows, sem nada estar sendo clicado, me ajudaria. Estou com esse problema desde a atualização para a versão 2023. Se alguém estiver passando pelo mesmo e descobriu como arrumar me fale por favorrrr!!!

I can confirm this is happening across all my computers. I went into system sounds through the control panel and turned off all notifications.

I am having the same issue today. I have been working on a document for 3 weeks and it's now just stopped responding.

 

I'm on an M1 MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.7, I have been (happily) working in the latest version of InDesign 2025. Until today.

 

The problem: With an object selected, when I click on 'Fill' in the Appearance window I get and error sound, but no dialog box. I am then unable to change the fill color by selecting another swatch, but I can double click on the current fill color from the pop-out window and manually change the color there with the sliders.

 

I am also unable to change fonts as I usually would from the Character window. If I click on a font from the drop-down menu, it does change, but the moment I click out of it the font reverts back to what it was. I can no longer change fonts/styles by select a new paragraph style or character style. It just doesn't respond, in the same way that swatches don't respond.

 

What I've tried: Multiple restarts. Uninstalled InDesign, deleted preferences, re-installed. Went back to the previous 2025 build. Nothing fixed it. I also re-installed the 2024 version and it's now happening there too. It's also not just this document. I've tried older saves, new documents and stock templates - all having the same issue.

 

I was working fine on the document yesterday. Saved and closed it. Nothing about my computer has changed or been updated in the meantime. I've opened the file today as I have every other day and am now having this issue.

 

Please help. I'm losing my mind and my deadline is this week.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is anyone experiencing anything similar?
