Page transitions in exported PDFs no longer work

For years, I've used interactive PDFs exported directly from InDesign to quickly present layouts and designs. This looks best when presented in full-screen mode, where you can use some of the page transitions offered in InDesign, for example. With my new MacBook Pro and MacOS Big Sur and also Monterey, Acrobat no longer shows the page transitions. What am I doing wrong?

In Acrobat > Preferences > Full Screen > Full Screen Transitions > Checkbox to disable all transitions. Is this option selected?

oh, thanks for the quick response! but, I know this setting, that is all set correctly, that's not it. It's best to try it out for yourself with any PDF, if you have a mac and MacOS Big Sur or Monterey. Acrobat (Reader or Pro) simply does not show page transitions in full screen mode.

What I can tell you is that everything works on Windows 11 as designed. If you can post one of the PDFs that aren't working for you, I'll try to open it here and that can at least narrow things down a bit to either InDesign not exporting or Acrobat not reading it.

i'm glad that everything works under Windows, but unfortunately not under MacOS. under Catalina still, but under MacOS Big Sur and Monterey not anymore (the technical data: at work: MacOS Monterey 12.0.1, InDesign v 17.0.1, Acrobat Pro DC 2021.007.20099; or (at home): MacOS Big Sur (latest version), Acrobat Reader (latest version)
attached a small test PDF. Thanks in advance for testing!

The file works fine here which means you can eliminate InDesign as the problem.

The Windows version works, yes, but even with the Mac version, Adobe has to make sure that all the program features offered work as well. If for some reason these features no longer work on MacOS, Adobe would have to remove them from the software.

But thanks for the Windows-testing!

I can confirm pdf page transitions are not working on a Mac (Catalina). It looks like this is a known issue:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-20-page-transitions-not-displaying-corr...

You could report it as an Acrobat/Reader bug here:

https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac

but I wouldn't be suprised if Adobe and Apple are pointing fingers at each other over this.
