I've lost the ability to select colors in the swatch pallette. Is anyone else have the same problem?
I wonder if anyone who's having this issue is using Magnet? It looks like it can be responsible for this issue, too.

InDesign 20.0.1

It's a problem in any document... I select the box I want to add color to, select the color in the swatches pallette and nothhting happens.
I've deleted my prefernces as well as uninstalled InDesign and intalled it again.

If they don't help: do you have the same issue in InDesign 2024? You can reinstall it from the Creative Cloud app if needed.

Also having difficulty selecting typefaces... I have to repeateldey select the typeface from drop down menu.

Thank you for sharing the file! I tested it on my end, and the color selection in the swatch panel works as expected. I was able to select the frame and then choose a swatch, and the color applied without issue.
Since the problem seems to be intermittent for you, it might be related to input devices like your Apple Magic Pad. Sometimes, certain input methods can cause slight delays or inconsistent behavior in how the swatches are applied. If possible, would you mind trying any other mouse and let us know the output?

Noticing this lag with the trackpad and mouse with whatever I do in InDesign. And it only seems to be affecting InDesign. I tried reseeting the PRAMM and SMC, but still no luck.

Im having exactly the same issues as @franks65267173 . Ive tried everything, deleting cache files, preferences, clearing and reinstalling the app, running disk utilities. I have been on remote support with three Adobe representatives who have had no joy and just hung up on the call with no recommendations. Its unacceptable and is setting me so far back with my work schedule. Im running InDesign 20.0.1 / Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1 / Macbook Air M3 16GB. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Panel problems are generally caused by corrupt preferences. Try resetting them.

Yes, having the same problems here suddenly. Both the Color Palette selection issue AND the Font selection issue.

Nope. Didn't work. They asked me to delete all the support files in my Library. Did just that and nothing has changed—still can't select swatches or typefaces. This is definitley some sort of software glitch they have to fix on their end.
