Snag, The Apply Masters pages seems to be missing....

I want to remove the number 1 from the first chapter page. Here is the Snag........I went to the layout tabpages,  then in the drop-down - I would go to the Apply Master to Pages... a window should show up Apply Master pages...this is where I should be able to change to none.

In the drop-down - In the list, there is no Apply Master Pages....it seems to be missing.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this it would be greatly appreciated...I am a beginner....

At the time of my question, I wasn't. I am now. You're the first to mention it. I figured it out. I'm using a tutorial that is five years old. There are differences, I have to figure it. Yes, now I know Parent pages is the title.

Are you aware that master are renamed to parent pages?

Can you post a screenshot?

And if you want to remove a TextFrame with a Page Number marker - just override it and delete.

I want to thank you for your input in solving problems, it's tough when not seeing what going on, and I'm a beginner. I updating what I learned, just in case someone else has this same snag. I am watching an excellent tutorial, it is an old version. I'm working off 2024/25... Instead of seeing Apply to Master Pages ....Use Apply to Parent Pages (it does the same thing)......I believe as there are upgrades, I suppose the words changed.....

I think, I saw something like this for InDesign - but can't find it right now?

It's not called Masters anymore, it's called Parent, found in the same pull
down menu.
