Snag, The Apply Masters pages seems to be missing....

I want to remove the number 1 from the first chapter page. Here is the Snag........I went to the layout tab, pages, then in the drop-down - I would go to the Apply Master to Pages... a window should show up Apply Master pages...this is where I should be able to change to none.

In the drop-down - In the list, there is no Apply Master Pages....it seems to be missing.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this it would be greatly appreciated...I am a beginner....

At the time of my question, I wasn't. I am now. You're the first to mention it. I figured it out. I'm using a tutorial that is five years old. There are differences, I have to figure it. Yes, now I know Parent pages is the title.

Can you post a screenshot?

And if you want to remove a TextFrame with a Page Number marker - just override it and delete.

There are 24 chapters, want to hide the number on the first page of the chapter. I'm working with a template. If I override, when I build all the chapters will the numbers continue in sequence?

When you insert Current Page Marker - it will be replaced with the "name" of the current page this markes is placed on.

Its presence / removal doesn't affect page numbering in any way.
