Why are my margins not uptading on all my files in my book when I uptadte all cross-reference of my book?

Not sure how Cross-References are related to the margins?

David's point is that, if there's any difference in the Parent Pages' names, they won't sync properly.

Also, you may need to actually enable Parent Page sync in your book file. Here's how:

1. On your book panel, go to the panel menu.
2. Choose Synchronize Options.
   
   
3. Make sure Parent Pages is activatd in the Other section.
   
   
   
   
4. Activate the Synchronize button.

Are you choosing Synchronized Options or going directly to Update All Cross-References? 

As @Robert at ID-Tasker stated, X-refs would have nothing to do with parent pages updating.

The margins synchronised now how do I get all my text to change to the
margin size,=?
When I change it on the master page, the text doesn't fit into that
text box.
It seems like all my text somehow by mistakenly got placed
on text boxes on top, how can I get it back to be connected to the one on
the master page

I hope my question is clear.

Can't be sure but it sounds (reads) as if you have a primary text frame on the parent/master pages, but placed the text without using the primary frames. 

1. Delete all but the first page with the non-primary text.
2. Cut the text.
3. Delete the non-primary frame.
4. Paste the text into the page. Do NOT make a text frame. If you can't just click-and-paste on the primary frame, Cmd-Shift-click (Cntl-Shift-click) on the frame and paste.
5. New pages should automatically be added IF you are truly using primary frames.

As @Dave Creamer of IDEAS said - you'll have to edit each file separately = manually.
