Since updating to 18.5 a couple days ago, I can no longer easily replace text in the documents from Share for Review comments. My coworkers place notes to replace text, and when I highlight and press copy, or right click to copy, nothing happens!! Now I have to manually type in their text, or go to my email notifications to copy the text. What gives!

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We have started releasing InDesign 19.2, and we have fixed this issue since this is done in phases so, once available in your region, feel free to test and update this discussion if you need further assistance. Here is the link to an article with fixed issues in 19.2.
Thanks

In addition to this feature still not working properly after 4 months, now when viewing my layouts, resolved comments will sporadically reappear on my layout. I have to keep opening the review panel filters and deselecting the resolved comments, over and over and over. Sometimes it highlights text that has been resolved and causes me to delete text by accident. This should also be looked at.

Hi jacquelineh47151153,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. Can you confirm if this is happening on a specific file or multiple files? Does the comment which get resolved reappear after some time or you're unable to resolve it all? We'll need the version of InDesign & OS to test the scenarios. We'll try our best to assist you.
Thanks
Rishabh

This happens on multiple files. The comment is still resolved, it's just that the filter suddenly chooses to show all the resolved comments.
I am using INDD version 19.0.1 and Mac OS 14.1.2

This is happening to me too. It also scrolls down to the bottom of the list of comments periodically. It's very frustrating to scroll up through pages of comments each time this happens. The filter button also does not work consistently and suddenly comments from other users appear in my filtered results that are suppose to be from a singular user. Please add a feature to hide comments or file somewhere (vs. just resolve) for comments that you're not ready to address, but don't want them lost in a sea of comments.

I wish they would resolve this because it is pointless to try to use the feature in my workflow. Maybe if they would dedicate some time to improving InDesign instead of going overboard with AI people would be happy. I need this for my workflow and couldn't care less about creating a cat flying in space!

This has been going on for months now. Please can you tell us exactly when will we 'see improvements' to this?

Hi,
I am so sorry for the delay. I understand that this has been pending for long but I am afraid we don't have the exact time when the fix will be released. I am keeping track of this bug, and as soon as I have the confirmation about the release version in which the fix will be available, I'll share it here.
Thanks

Hi Juur. Right mouse click copy/paste still not working but try keyboard shortcuts command c and v. that worked for me despite edit menu commands greyed out initially.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Mac Sonoma 14.3. Cmd V just produces an alert sound, but the content of the selection is not copied to the clipboard. The only workaround that I've found that doesn't involve retyping the comments manually is to copy them from the e-mails that the cloud has sent me for each comment. I know, pretty insane, but still better than retyping them and possibly adding more typos to the copy.
