Unable to open InDesign on Windows 7

I started a free trial today for the sole purpose of using InDesign. The installation went fine, and after it was done, I tried to open it from the Creative Cloud, but only heard a error message "ding", but no error message popped up. I tried to open the program directly. Same thing happened. I tried to run it as administrator. Same thing happened. I uninstalled and reinstalled without any issues... and same thing happened. If it doesn't work from a fresh install, I don't know what the issue could be.

Any ideas?

    Just purchased InDesign, and it freeze on Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

    It does not work in Windows Safe Mode (with network support) as well.

    Thanks for reaching out and sharing your observations. As per your query, InDesign 2019 is freezing on Windows 7 system. That definitely shouldn't be happening, let us make this right for you.

    I would need a few more details like:

    • Please check and confirm if the system meets minimum requirements for InDesign  2019: InDesign system requirements
    • Is it freezing on launch or while working on it?
    • Is the issue related to a specific document/tool? If yes, can you please share the document with us?
    • Please share Event viewer report for InDesign:

    Does your Windows 7 have Service Pack 1 installed?

    Hi,

    Can you confirm which version of Windows you are using? Are you using other Adobe CC applications?

    You probably did it, but can you confirm that you restarted the computer a couple of times?

    A call to Adobe Tech support might be the answer here.

    I'm using Windows 7, and I have restarted the computer a few times since the installation. As for other applications, no, I haven't installed them. Using the Event Viewer was sort of a mess, mostly because each attempt to open the app gives me a ton of new errors, and I can't determine on my own where it goes wrong.

    You may be right. It may be best to talk to tech support.
