Unreliable color management with object layer options

The problem is: When I use Object > Object Layer Options to show and hide layers in a .psd file, I have had the problem that the color management isn‘t working reliably.

Sometimes, the ICC profile „Document RGB“ is displayed in the InDesign document by mistake, even though the linked image is using the ICC profile „sRGB“. 

If I do the same with placing (File -> Place -> Show Import Options -> Layers), it works.

So far, the problem has only occurred with images using the ICC profile „sRGB“.

Can someone explain this? Or is this a bug?

Unzuverlässiges Colormanagement mit Objektebenenoptionen

Hallo liebe Community

Wenn ich mittels Objekt > Objektebenenoptionen bei einer .psd-Datei Ebenen ein- und ausblende, funktioniert manchmal das Colormanagement nicht. Im Indesign-Dokument wird das ICC-Profil „Dokument-RGB“ angezeigt, obwohl das verknüpfte Bild das ICC-Profil „sRGB“ hat.

Wenn ich das selbe direkt beim Platzieren mache (Datei -> Platzieren -> Importoptionen anzeigen -> Ebenen), funktioniert es. 

Bis jetzt ist das Problem nur bei Bildern vorgekommen mit dem ICC-Profil „sRGB“.

Kann sich das jemand erklären? Oder ist das ein Bug?

I think that's a bug. But first let me test your document.

thanks for the workaround by adding an empty layer on top of the layer stack in PhotoShop!

It does seem like a bug and seems to be limited to sRGB. I can select the image and set its profile to sRGB via Object>Image Color Settings and that fixes the layering problem.

I just noticed this bug appears to persist in Indesign 17.4 on MacOS 10.15.7.

Tritt der Fehler auch bei Ebenen-Kompositionen auf? Wenn Du Ebenen ein- und ausblendest, verschiebst oder anderweitig veränderst, empfiehlt sich immer, in Photoshop Ebenen-Kompositionen zu speichern und diese dann in den anderen Programmen anzusteuern.

Danke für den Tipp! Mit Ebenenkompositionen sollte ich öfters arbeiten.

Habs gerade mit meiner Beispieldatei getestet, passiert leider auch dort.
