Using InDesign Beta to Convert PDF but nothing happened

Hi,

Today I'm trying to convert PDF using Indesign beta as latest version InDesign beta able to convert PDF to InDesign. But when I try to open it from File > Open, the PDF is greyed out and I cant select it. Even I try enable from All Readable document to All document, nothing happened, and when I drag and drop directly to InDesign beta showing "Undefined Error" window.

The PDF I try to opened was from InDesign, page less than 10 and connected to internet.

Any idea what happened?

If you go to File>Open 

And check the list of files - does PDF show?

I think @Eugene Tyson's remark "Strange it's not working" was regarding your situation. It didn't mean that it's not working for him on Mac, something he won't be able to check today.

Oh okay, my bad 😄

I tried on Windows, and now works fine, it's only for Mac not ready to use the feature.

The platform shouldn't make any difference but you won't know until you try. This feature is still in beta

All I know is that here in Canada I also don't see beta 19.5; 19.4 is the latest.

I'm having the same issue. Beta seems to be outdated and I'm not able to download the newest 19.5 beta version.
Is it coming in next updates of InDesign? In 19.5 I do not see it available at the moment.

that's because we have indesign installed with another language 

It works on english version only 😞
