Vertical Text Selection Feature Need

There is no option of vertical selection in Adobe InDesign. If I have written a text which is very big and there are some lines in it, I have to delete them by doing vertical selection, then there is no option for this in InDesign. Please. This type of option should have been there in Indesign... Please Add This Vertical Selection Feature Because This InDesign is a document software which should have this type of feature.

I think he refers to non-contiguous text selection that's possible via Option-select in many text and code editors, here's an example from BBEdit:

GREP is for things like that - no need for some strange selection option.
