While exporting the book catalog I prepared with Indesign as PDF, the message “You cannot reverse this change with the Edit > Undo command. Do you still want to continue?” A warning appears: I have to confirm this annoying warning with ENTER or cancel it with ESCAPE at least a hundred times during every export process, otherwise the PDF will not be created. Moreover, whether I cancel or confirm, there is no problem with the resulting PDF. However, this frustrating process, which must be performed manually, requires a lot of time. I can't understand why there is no "Accept All" or "Reject All" option for this warning. Does anyone know what causes it or the solution?

Old images PNG. A few of the recent ones are PDFs, but there are not many. I tried changing them to PNG but the warnings came up again.

Right. I was thinking that maybe if you had INDD files linked directly - it would be a problem.
Can you answer questions posted by @James Gifford—NitroPress?

It may be a matter of sheer scale, an overall process that is too large or complex to store undo data for.
How big is the catalog (pages, links, filesize, number of images, etc.) and how much RAM and free drive space do you have?

We need to use book covers, some made in the past years and some made today, together in this catalogue. There are mini versions of around 350 book covers in 76 pages. My understanding is that Indesign sees "color code" changes as a problem during exit. I found this as a workaround: First of all, I wanted the alerts to just stay in the background. When the warning appears, I do not press any "confirm" or "cancel" button. When the processing time was over, I saw that the PDF was created without any problems.

Are you aware that InDesign has a Protocol/History Panel which helpd you to undo many steps.

I don't think you understand the problem correctly. Thanks for your interest.

In addition to other questions:
-What versions of InDesign and macOS?
-Does it happen with any other document?
-What if you create a new document, place a few pictures from the problematic doc, then export. Will you still get the warnings?
-Is it possible that you have a plug-in or script that's invoked when you export to PDF, whose actions may cause the warnings?

I would say that 8GB is rather low...
Googling this error suggests that you are hitting Undo history limit - probably because of not enough RAM.

Not to mention that the system recommendation for most recent versions of ID is 16GB. It will run on 8GB but have problems with any memory-intensive operation... like export of this scale.

What if you split your document into smaller parts - and then export each part - will you still have this warning?
Or maybe exporting only few pages won't trigger this error.
