Lightroom hangs and freezes

Hi Everyone, hope someone at Adobe can address this issue.  I'm experiencing symptoms like that described by the other user of Lrc.  Two weeks ago. LrC was working fine.  Gear: Canon 5D Mark IV; tethering with Tether Tool cable; tethering directly into LrC.  When tether session is started (via Rosetta Stone) etc., I can take 6 images and they all record to LrC with no problem.  After image 7, LrC freezes up.  After I turn off camera and relaunch the software, process is the same...on image 7 software freezes.  I unplugged the cable and camera works/records images fine.  Plug camera back up, launch software and it freezes.  My conclusion, something is going on with the software.  Here is my system information per the recording process noted above.   Question: why does the last line of the system data say "Nikon Tether Plugin"???

I have same issue.  Very frustrating.  Everything works great, fast, etc.  Then LrC freezes for a minute or two. The computer doesn't, just LrC.  After that pause, it just picks up and keeps going.  Doesn't happen on set cadence.  Can go hours without it happening or happens after just 10 minutes.  I've tried resetting preferences, turn GPU on/off and reinstalling.  Issue is consistently present. 

I also copied system info below if helpful.
