macOS 10.12.5.

Hello everyone, following the update of LR CC 2017. 10. 1 I realize a little worry that could prove very troublesome:
- Development, normal mode, Tone curve, activating this option, the correction on the photo is activated by moving the cursor, this is OK.
- Development, SoftProofing mode, creation of a virtual copy, Tone curve, activation of this option, the correction on the photo is activated by moving the cursor, the cursor is no longer functional?
Notice, the bar below the image no longer appears when you activate this function.
If you switch back to 'Normal' mode without proofing or to another photo, the normal behavior of this function does not return 😞 LR must be restarted.

I reloaded version 2017. 10, this bug does not exist 😞

So Adobe added a bug in addition to the fixes. . . . . .

MacOS 10. 12. 5.

Lightroom CC2015.12/6.12 was released today and should address this issue.  Please update your Lightroom to the latest version and let us know if you continue to see the issue. Thank you for your patience.

in Mac version, the targeted adjustment for saturation will not work (become active) unless one first goes to select the Hue, only then I can initiate targeted adjustment. then it will work if I select Saturation. I think it is a new bug

Yves, With 10.12.5 and CC2015.10.1 I am not able to duplicate this.  I am seeing both the Tone Curve  and HSL Target Adjustment tools working in Soft Proofing mode.

I would recommend resetting your preference file and see if the behavior is still wrong.
Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.

Does the behavior continue after resetting the preferences?

Afeter reset and restart, softproofing on/off, change photo, I can initiate targeted adjustment. then it will work if I select

If I select this tool, the cursor turns into a zoom icon and then the fist!

J'ai désinstallé cette version, redémarrer l’ordinateur, télécharger à partir de Creative Cloud
ça ne fonctionne pas

Module de développement, avec ou hors softproofing !
TSL, je me suis trompé !!!

macOS 10.12.5

Je revient en LR 2017.10, le problème disparait !!!

I have uninstalled this version, restart the computer, download from Creative Cloud
it does not work

Development module in or out sofproofing !
TSL, I was wrong!
Activation of the tool Direct adjustment of the hue, same as the other settings. . .
Changing the settings by moving the cursor over the image
Exit the tool by clicking the Stop button at the bottom of the image

At this time, the tool activation icon does not go into the disabled mode. . . .
If this button is clicked, it will go out, if it is clicked again, it appears active, but the button at the bottom of the screen no longer appears.

If I go back to Library and Return to Development mode, the operation is still inactive. I have to restart LR to be able to use this tool once.

Thank you for repeating the complete test, with the French and English interface, at home, the same behavior on 2 different computers an iMac 27 'late 2013 and a MBA mid 2011

MacOS 10. 12. 5

I return in LR 2017. 10, the problem disappears !!!

Just updated to latest version of LR and the tone curve targeted adjustment tool is not functioning. If I click on it to activate, it does not show the tool when I hover over the image.

Im having the same problem with OSX 10.11.6, CC15.10.1
I have cleared the preferences, closed and re-opened LR.  The first time I use TAT it works, as soon as I release the mouse button the cursor changes to a magnification glass and it doesn't work after that.  I think the problem is its stuck in the zoom mode, the TAT tool in the pallet indicates its active, its just that the cursor is locked in magnification mode.  The only way I have found to get it back is to quit and restart LR.

LR CC 2015. 10. 1 update on macOS 10. 12. 5 Sierra

If you activate the tool that allows you to adjust the tone curve or the same tool in TSL by dragging the cursor on the photo, a Done button is displayed at the bottom of the photo, allowing you to deactivate these two functions, Again on the sign activating these functions.

If you want to repeat these two functions on / off, the Done button no longer appears, the cursor on the picture remains inactive. It is imperative to restart LR to regain normal operation

This is a bug added by this latest update.

I have already made a rest of the default settings of LR, the bug is still present.
I've uninstalled LR from the CC application, restart the computer, reinstall LR from CC, the bug is still existing.

Only solution I had to take back LR in my Time Machine backup to recover the version CC 2015. 10 that works correctly.

Same problem on 2 computers an iMac end 2013 and a MBA mid 2011, LR CC 2015. 10 working perfectly on these 2 computers.

Same observation if LR in French or in English.

On mid-2010 iMac, El Capitan LR CC. Recently made the update to LR10.1.
When I click in the panel to 'pick-up' the curve or HSL adjustment 'brush' to drag over the photo it appears that the brush was picked up but when the cursor gets over the picture--it's just the 'zoom' icon and adjustments can't be made. Can't tell if it's the same issue I've seen elsewhere here... sorry.

Rikk, I've found a curious twist... I didn't quite follow all the info above very well but noticed it mentioned soft proofing. So, I went into the soft proofing mode and...ahem...voila..c'est marche bien! It worked well. I then got out of the soft proof mode and it was still working properly! Bizarre.

I reset the file and it worked for a while. When I restarted again, it was back to the same problem of no targeted tool in the curves panel.

Hello, Rikk Flohr, Official Rep

Hello, Rikk Flohr, Official Rep
How long will it take to wait until the correction of this bug really con! Added by this version and only on OSX version whatever the language?

We pay for our subscription, we are entitled to an extremely fast correction of this problem which forced us to go to search in our backups the previous version to be able to work correctly, a gesture on the part of Adobe for this inconvenience would be a minimum, See a year subscription to CC for free photographer. . . We also have costs due to this bug.

Unfortunately an ETA is not yet available from the team.  We are looking in to a series of workarounds to:

1. Allow you to function without getting into this state.
2. Recover from this state

until a fix is released.

It would be helpful to me if those who are having the problem hit the [Me Too] button at the top of this page as this is a relatively low reported issue.

If you reset the preferences they are gone. You can always make a backup copy prior to resetting in the event they need to be restored. This article describes what is at risk. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

Only solution, go back to version CC2015. 10 that I found in my bakup Time Machine, I only recovered the compressed file Adobe lightroom! This is very annoying because we have lost about three days of work to update and return to this previous version. . . . . Adobe, you are developer, we are customers and earn our living with your software. . . . Stop annoying us, especially make sure that other customers on MacOS are not impacted by this problem that you have been able to reproduce yourself, the version available on Adobe Creative Cloud is still the 10. 1, your new customers will receive This buggy version. . . It does not return the impression that Adobe is a serious business, which you do not hope I hope. . . . You already suffer enough criticism regarding the imposed Creative Cloud! Are you Professional please!
