Greetings all,

A new update for Lightroom Classic has been released.  The May 14.3.1 update contains an update for this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

I am having the same issue - it's completely killed my workflow. I have to make edits to each individual image. Copy/paste gives me this error message too. Need this fixed ASAP.

@johnrellis Are you able to pin your post so people can see this solution at once?

If not, whomever can, please do it!

It has saved my todays editing being able to go back to the previous LrC version. Thanks!

@excited_artistry3159, rolling back to LR 14.2 avoids the problem. (I'm not able to pin this post.)

I opened Lightroom Classic today, and every time I try to apply a preset to an image, this error pops up. It worked just fine a few days ago, and I've never had this issue. I've already restarted my computer three times and made sure everything is up to date. Help please?

I have not downgraded to 14.2. There is no "CameraRaw" directory in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ nor any of its subfolders, let alone a file or subdirectory called ModelZoo. Therefore I cannot rename it.

Select Object and Select People under Tools/Create New Mask seem to be working, but this is the first time I have every used that feature (or any masking feature as far as I am aware) in LrC. And I had never used it when the problem first arose. Please find a fix soon -- customers are waiting -- I can't edit hundreds of photos one-by-one and I am past deadline....

I am using LrC and Creative Cloud (with Lr normal and Adobe Illustrator) with a subscription license (Grrrrrrrr) on a 2020 13" MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.7.5 I did not have this problem prior to the last update of Lightroom Classic

Can anyone share the logs located at "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Logs" ?

Error might be seen if some models such as object selection are not getting downloaded upon opening LrC. So if anyone can also share the ModelZoo folder located at "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/ModelZoo", it would be of great help.

@geologydlbjr
We expect LrC to create CameraRaw folder if there isn't one upon opening the app. Can you confirm if the location you're searching in is "/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/" ?

@KrishnaMaithreya There is no Library directory under Users/[username]. The only place Library/Application Support/Adobe exists is [HD]/

Gettting the same "Some Masking models failed to download. Please try again later." message while trying to Copy/Paste settings (that don't even involve any masks) from one image to another. I have updated to latest versions of MacOS and LrC. Then tried to uninstall and reinstall the LrC program app. And restarted MacBook Pro. Issue still exhists.

Hi @kim_6454! Welcome to the community!

I'm really sorry for the frustration. The "Some masking models are downloading. Please try again later" error is a known bug with the latest update affecting Mac users. Our team is aware of the issue and is working on a solution as quickly as possible.

I will merge your thread with the parent one. For any updates on this issue, you can keep track of this thread.

Thank you so much for your patience!

@geologydlbjr: "There is no Library directory under Users/[username]."

The Finder hides it by default.  To get to that folder, in Finder do the menu command Go > Go To Folder. Copy and paste this line:

 ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw

Estou com o mesmo problema desde Sábado 26/04. Já tentei o suporte e nada de resolverem. Acredito q essa última atualização veio com esse bug. Entrei no creative cloud e baixei a versão anterior 14.2 e voltou a funcionar

Thanks @johnrellis -- this would have been useful information to have from the original Adobe response team. I've done as you suggested and indeed the CameraRaw directory is there. But, I am reluctant to change the name of any directories esp in a hidden folder so will wait for Adobe to fix the problem....and in the meantime will start looking for another photo editing solution. I can't afford any more surprise delays when I am expected to turn around content. That's bad business (ahem).

This is happening to me too. Can't apply any preset's or synch edits. I have galleries due and was severly set back by this today, going to try what others have said and install an earlier version and hope it solves the problem.
