Exporting a photo with a brush mask and overlapping red-eye correction fails with "unknown error" when Use GPU For Export is enabled.

Tested on LR 12.1 with Mac OS  12.6.1, 12.6.2, and Mac OS 13.1 on two different machines.

To reproduce:

1. Import the attached JPEG.

2. Enable the option Settings > Performance > Use GPU For Export.

3. Export the photo to the desktop as a JPEG (see the attached screenshot for precise export settings).

4. Observe the following "unknown error":

johnrellis_0-1672698317637.png

The photo has a brush mask applied around the right eye socket, with Whites = 22 and Noise = 18, and a red-eye correction on the right eye.

Did you email Friedl with details about the problem?

http://regex.info/blog/jfriedl-links/about#contact

He's usually responsive to email but may not be monitoring submitted logs until someone emails him.

Update: The normal export of an image from a collection works fine with the Jeffrey plugins I mentioned earlier. The export problem only occurs when I try to export the same image via a publish service (using the same Jeffrey plugin).

Funny.

@Andreas22dev, did you try it with the just-released LR 12.2? It fixes a bug with exporting via the plugin SDK.

Tried it a few seconds ago with version 12.2. No more errors related to Jeffrey Friedl's plugins. Adobe made the mistake, as I suspected...

@MartinMal wrote, "I can confirm that all of the issues I described above have been fixed with the delivery of version 12.2."

For reference by future readers, Martin's problems with export plugins were caused by a bug different than the problem in this thread (exporting a brush mask overlapping a red-eye correction):
