2. Go to Map Module

3. Type City or location name

4. Use mouse to move "map" BEFORE entering (check spelling or whatever reason)

5. Set Metadata popup opens but does not acccept either "Cancel" or " Apply to Selected" buttons.

This results in Lightroom hanging with the only option to end the task from the task manager.

The Crash reporter never appears

I would expect the following in order of preference:

1. Cancel button entry is accepted

2. Apply button is accepted (any entry can be corrected afterwards)

3. The dialogue times out after a period of inactivity - say 1 minute without the cancel or apply button entry detected.

I have a dump file but its 21GB. If you need it, let me know how to split it (max 1GB chunks) and where to upload it

LR Classic 13.4

Steps to reproduce:

I cannot reproduce this using the instructions provided.  Are you certain you didn't leave out in any steps in your list of 5?

I was able to reproduce the issue with these steps in LR 13.4 / Windows 11:

1. In Preferences, click Reset All Warning Dialogs.

2. Select two photos with no assigned GPS coordinates and no values in the Location fields (Sublocation, City, etc.).

3. Go to Map.

4. In the Metadata panel, choose the Location tagset and click Selected Photos.

5. In the City field, type "Chicago" but don't type Enter.

6. With the mouse, drag the map to another position.

7. Observe that this dialog appears:

The dialog doesn't respond to clicks, Escape, or Enter. Right-clicking the LrC icon in the Windows dock and doing Close Window has no effect. The only way to close LR is by going to Task Manager.

Johns reply below is a better description and exactly describes the issue.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography, please consider moving to Bugs. I was able to reproduce the issue using the recipe I posted above.
