Have googled for solution and have unistalled, restarted and installed again - no luck!

Please help.

Try following this procedure in this order and see if it cures the issue:

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop it can change the location of your local storage. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

Then

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

  1. Close Lightroom
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
  4. Restart the computer
  5. Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
  6. Restart the computer
  7. Launch Lightroom
  8. Wait 5 minutes

Hi,

I tried your solution, but it did not work.

As soon as I follow step 2 of the Reset Procedure, the error message pops
up.

I then proceeded to do the "Clean Lightroom Install Procedure", but also did
not work.

Any other suggestions?

How do I go back to previous version of LRC?

Please see here if you'll go back to a previous version.

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

In this document it will be shown for Photoshop, but it's the same for Lightroom.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 23H2 -- LR-Classic 13.4 - Photoshop 25.11 - Nik Collection 7 - PureRAW 4 - Topaz PhotoAI 3

Thanks Axel,

It worked and at least now I can keep on working on my photos with the previous version.

Hope to download v11 soon, but it seems there are (a few) bugs they need to sort first.

Thanks!

Same problem here also. I was able to update LR to v.11 with no problems on my home computer, but could not do it on my work computer, which are both Windows 10. It downloads fine but gives me the "...Headlights..." error when trying to start LR.

Still no joy! Lightroom issued an update version 11.0.1 (all bugs fixed!??), but still the same "headlights.dll" problem.

Had to revert to version 10.4 to work.
