if I go from one image to the next in the library or development module they often are not sharp unless I zoom in and out. It does not happen with every image but with a lot of them.
Funny enough the problem does not occur if I scroll through my images on LR 4 so it definitely has to do with the Classic CC version.
I am using MAC OS High Sierra version 10.13.4 Please help

If it helps, I also changed Standard preview size from 1920 (my monitors' width) to 1680px, as I never view previews on the entire screen. Preview Quality from Med to High
Also unchecked "Use Smart Previews..." in Preferences/Performance.

This problem also happens when using the full screen display option (F key) and zooming in and out in the full screen image. Sometimes, after zooming out, the full screen image is displayed in low resolution.
Yes, I'm using an adequate size for the standard previews.

It is a new post of the old bug report (many threads existed) as "Lightroom Classic: Images not sharp unless I zoom in and out". Adobe says it is 'in progress' since months but still latest LR Classic 8.1 did not fix the issue: Regardless of config settings, in Library and Slideshow modules the loupe view/fullscreen views show crappy images not rendered with full resolution instead showing lots of banding artefacts. Develop mode is working well (was not always the case). This way, Library and Slideshow modules are completely useless. This issue exists since a few versions as the other threads mention. I don't want to repeat but still request fixing this issue.

Same here! This issue has been around for a long time but no fix has been released despite all the user reports. Another update and still no fix to this issue is just nonsense. What’s the point of having a high megapixel camera and screen to look at low quality pixelated images all the time?!? I am so frustrated that I have started looking at other options. I’ve still got around 6 months left on my Adobe subscription but I am at the point where I no longer care. I just want what I am paying for... a software that actually works!

Simon, what is going on with this one ? Lots of people are complaining and you have obviously lost track of this issue. I expect Adobe to cure the bug as right now I am paying for a product that ain't work properly. I have waited for a long time now and honestly speaking my patience is coming to an end.

Argggggg, it is getting worse again instead of Adobe fixing this issue. Latest LR update did not solve the issue in Library mode again, and now the issue is back in Develop mode, to a little less degree disturbing than in Library mode but still also there, high quality images are shown only ONLY OOONNNLLYYY after manually zooming in and out again.
PLEASE TAKE THIS ISSUE SERIOUS instead of adding more features !!! Adobe: please comment about progress in solving this issue.

It is really annoying and I don't understand the company policy of Adobe who don't fix this. An image processing software that delivers no sharp images is an absolute no go. Maybe we should consider suing them for cheating customers as their software doesn't delivery what they promise.

I am happy to reply Dieter - but the information hasn't changed. The bug is currently filed with the Classic Team. It is still open in our system but a fix has not been released yet. I do not have an ETA I can share.
If you look on the sun reflection on the water it's clearly visible. For a second it is sharp and then it's gone. Occasionally it helps to change the mode from fit to fill, but not every time.
I am getting more and more angry. Again an upgrade of LR Classic without fixing the issue - worse, the problems gets more often prominent also in develop modem, regardless of activating new GPU performance mode. Can Adobe reps please comment on the status and why still no fix is provided?
The library mode is completely useless and the development mode almost. It is totally annoying to be forced to zoom in and out again for every image. Is this the kind of workflow optimization you expect users to suffer from since years paying on a monthly base? I miss the good old stable end performant early LR versions.
