Bonjour

Depuis l'installation de la dernière version 15 de lightroom, il est impossible d'utiliser le mode connecter avec mon canon R5

Lightroom détécte un appareil photo mais n'arrive pas à l'identifier.

Pouvez vous régler ce BUG?

Merci

A new update for the Adobe Photography products has been released.  The 15.0.1 (November) update contains an update regarding this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by pressing  [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

Reverting back to Lightroom 14.5.1 fixed the problem of LR not being able to detect my Cannon R6 and R6MII and 5DMIII. They need to fix the tehering bug in v 15.0

Hello

The best solution is to revert to the previous version of Lightroom while waiting for Adobe to fix the bug in a future update.

Adding bug number.

Note: @Sameer K 's workaround instructions in the pinned post work for me in restoring Tether Functionality.

I am having the same issue. Stupidly updated last night without reading about the latest release bugs first and now cannot tether my Canon R5 to my Macbook Pro. I had held up off updating to the latest OS because i had read about issues with that but am now doing that just to see if it helps. Am thinking that this is unlikely to be the case though from what i am reading online. Have any of the solutions suggested here worked for anyone? Need to tether for my clients so this is not great, help!

I have uninstalled the LRC 15 and installed back the old 14.5.1 version from the cloud. It works perfectly.
Oddly enough with the 15 version the OS does read the files on the card... somehow there is a connection but it fails to detect the camera. Canon camera services were stopped at the time. I manage to connect and shoot tethered only using the 14.5.1 version and the EOS 3 utility. I shoot R5.
I hope the above helps any of you.

I volunteer at my local library in thier local history department, serving as technical advisor on thier negative scanning project.  Two days ago I was in and updated their computer to LRC 15, from the last version of LRC 14.  Since most of their work is tethered using a Canon R10, I setup the camera for some test shots for a new project , and LRC could not connect with the camera.  Since I did not have time to try to troubleshoot the problem, I reverted LRC back to 14.5.1, where tethering worked, and LRC still could not find the camera.  The computer I was trying to tether to is a MacBook Pro M3 running OS 15 latest version.

I went thru some of the troubleshooting steps, and found that their R10 was using old firmware.  I did not have time to fix that problem, I decided to try tethering at home, with my Canon R8.  I got the same error on both my MacBook Air M2 and my MacMini M1.  Both of my Mac's are running Tahoe Version 26.0.1.

I did delete the lightroom classic prefrence file, and was able to thether using Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4 software.   That being said everything I try in LRC results in No Camera Detected.

Could you please try the steps below:

  1. Connect the Camera in On state.
  2. Launch Tether.
  3. Switch On and Off the Camera Or disconnect and reconnect the cable.

Please let us know if it helps.

Tried connecting the camera in On state.  LRC did find the camera and tried to download the memory card.  Stopped that tried to tether and got camera not found message.  Disconnected everything, and formatted SD card in camera.  Reconnected and tried to tether, got camera not found message.  Turned camera off, and back on it caused LRC to hang, spinning rainbow wheel, and I needed to close it by force quitting the application.
