Correct. This issue was fixed in the Photoshop 20.0.2 release: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/photoshop-cc-20-0-2-now-available

Thanks for reporting this issue!

I am no longer able to launch PS from the current version of LR classic and edit a raw file. If I don’t open PS first, PS will open and show the file but none of the adjustments can be used. I called the Adobe help desk and was told that this is the way they designed it, i.e., so you can’t directly launch PS from LR and work on your raw files. I don’t think that explanation is creditable. I think that it is a bug in the software that needs to be fixed with the next iterations of LR/PS.

Make sure you update to the latest version of Photoshop, which fixes this bug.

This is a new issue for me as of a short while ago.  I upgraded my computer and reinstalled Adobe CC products.  Had no problem until about an hour ago and out of the blue, Lightroom is not allowing me to edit an image in Photoshop.   Apparently this issue is not fixed.  Help!

Have you tried restarting the computer?

@JeffreyTranberry I just had this problem Oct 2020. It appears that the latest update of Photoshop changes the location of the exe file and Lightroom cannot find it...

The last update on the issue in this string was over 2 years ago and then it seems it was fixed. You might want to start a fresh issue and include as much information as you can about your specific installation and hardware as you have done here. I think you will get more visibility that way.

Good luck!
