P: Transform [Update] button stops working after application of [Previous]

Explorer ,
Apr 24, 2025 Apr 24, 2025

After updating LR Classic to version 14.3, the "update" button in the Transform panel stopped working after using the settings from the previous photo. Transform remains wrong even after selecting a different option (vertical instead of auto, etc.) and the Update button remains white.

MacOS 15.4.1, LRC 14.3

@emma301072363vkp: "my transform panel is not working. It is not allowing me to auto adjust the upright settings, or any settings within that panel such as the vertical or level tools."

The other posts in this thread describe how the Transform panel's Update button doesn't work after you've clicked the Previous button to copy the settings from the previous photo. Is this what you're experiencing?  If you're experiencing other symptoms, then please start a new thread and describe in more detail precisely what is happening (or not happening).  Full-resolution screenshots (not phone pics) are often quite helpful.

I am having the same problem. My normal workflow is to apply a preset with transform settings. Now I have to reset and then reapply the setting.

In my case, I set an Auto transform in a present when importing.  I used to have to push "update" for each photo after the import.  In the previous release, this improved and the Auto Transform was applied without further ado.  In the latest release, the update button is highlighted but doesn't do anything.  Switching off the Auto transform seems to act as if the Auto Transform is being applied.

Hey there,

Since the update I'm having trouble in the development section with the "transformation" tab : Updating an automatic perspective transformation no longer works. Is it possible to look at this ? I work on a Sequoia 15.4.1 version. Thanks a lot

It is now 5/7/2025. This problem is still not fixed. I wish transform would work. Update isn't working at all. Even when it was transform would hardly ever straighten room photos for real estate. I spend countless hours each year straightening lines. Now I have to reset and then apply and then... straighten lines. Please fix this? Please make transform work better. Please at least fix update. Once, before Texture was added (I don't know which year that was) Transform worked well. Then there was an update and it has never worked well after that. Now it is tottally broken.

Dear community, dear Adobe support,

Kindly, I am trying to use transform tool, however, when I press updated or use any of transform buttons they do not seem to work, thus photos do not straighten. Anyone has experienced simillar issues?

Version 14.3

Thank you. 🙂

Wit gratitude
