Suddenly the ai noise reduction in lightroom classic does not work, what is wrong?
Finally some useful info. That sounds like Lightroom might not have permissions to write to the folder, or perhaps the drive is almost full. Denoise creates a new file, so Lightroom needs to be able to write that file to disk. The error suggests that it can't for some reason.

Thanks for looking into this @GoldingD 🙂
We've been through this in another thread that I started:
I'm just trying to follow any related thread to find a solution. 💁
I have even bought a new GPU to see if it would help.

Hello Team,Based on the attached lightroom issue in word document i have been asked toshare the system information. But I have 2 versions of Lightroom V7.4.1 andV13.4.I have attached the system information for both the versions.
By @Vijay Kumar38588190r5f3
Graphics Processor Info:
DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (26.21.14.4223)
Init State: GPU for Image Processing supported by default
User Preference: Auto
So Windows Store version (26.21.14.4223), that would be NVIDIA v442.23. Why so very very old? A good four years out of date. Current version at NVIDIA is v560.81 (Studio and Game, recommend Studio). LrC is very very picky about GPU drivers. I am surprised that just your AI DeNoise is giving you issues. You should have a NVIDIA application called GeForce Experience, update that, then use it to check for and update your GPU driver. Make sure to alter the settings as to look for the Studio drivers, make sure to select custom install type when installing the GPU driver (as to force a clean install)
Library Path: C:\Users\shiv_\OneDrive\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom
Your MS OneDrive is interfering with your LrC catalog and/or your photo locations. Do not let OneDrive get anywhere near LrC. Go and create a folder on one of your hard drives, a folder for the LrC catalog (and perhaps photos) A drive that is not a subfolder of Pictures (as to attempt to segregate the catalog from MS insisting on muddy the Pictures Folder) . This probably does not cause your AI DeNoise issue, it can effect performance.

As for the NVIDIA GPU driver. A workthru:
Click on Start, select All Applications, select the GeForce Experience
Note, when I was running thru this to create the screenshots, a new prompt showed up for a new app. I do not know about that one yet, so I ignored it. Following continues on in the old app
When the GeForce Experience app comes up. Select the Drivers tab. Select the three dots far right. Select Studio Driver. Then click in the screen
You might want/need to click on the Check for Updates button. At any rate, you may see that a new Driver is available. If so, click on Download. If not, then click on that Check for Updates button to make sure.
It will take some time for the download and a bit of additional work to finis. But you will be presented with the screen below. Select Custom Installation. The Custom Installation will remove old drivers and code that may be lurking, and then install the new driver
The process will take some time, your screen will go dark for a bit, and eventually in a few minutes will complete the update.

Followup
If you decide upon starting the NVIDIA GeForce Experience App to go ahead and install the new NVIDIA App, you might find that the new app works better, the look/feel, is better. Appears to be fairly clear on how to use.

Mine does this when my computer gets too hot. It's really annoying. I usually have to turn it off for like an hour or two.

Mine works fine again now that I cleared my Mac and got a bigger external hard drive. I only move onto my mac what I'm.working on currently and then move it back onto the harddrive once done! Seems to have worked. Must have just been too much going on for lightroom to concentrate.

Hi i hade issue with AI Denoise in Details in LIGHTROOM CLASSIC it use to run the progress bar and at the end of the progress bar about 10 ti 15 % it just crashed without error but did not finish the job. i checked my root folder on my ssd (hardisk) it created DNG but files were not loading. the problem was the ssd (harddisk) didnot have eanough space to generate dng and load in LIGHTROOM. just by making space on the ssd (harddisk) resolved the problem. its working .
PLEASE don't forget to go in to the root folder on the disk and delete the dng files before giving DENOISE command again

I have an update on my issue with denoise.
When I create the denoised image, Lightroom puts the new image in a new folder that doesn't exist outside of lightroom.
For example my photos for January 1st of this year live here, NAS/Lightroom/raw pictures/2024/2024-01-01.
If I create a denoised photo from that folder, lightroom will create a new folder and put just the denoised photo in it here, NAS/2024-01-01
If I look on my hard drive that new folder does not exist.
If I try to move the denoised photo from the new folder into its correct location within Lightroom, Lightroom tells me that the photo can't be moved because it already exists in that location.
If I look at the folder on my hard drive, the denoised photo does exist in the correct location here, NAS/Lightroom/raw pictures/2024/2024-01-01. However it is impossible to import the denoised photo into that exact same folder in lightroom. This doesn't make any sense. Lightroom seems to think the photo is in its catalogue at that location even though it is not.
Could this be becuase my photos are stored on a NAS?
I don't get this problem when the original photos are stored on a local drive.
I know lightroom doesn't officially support NAS storage but I have been working this way for years without issue. By the way Adobe, it's time to add NAS support for Lightroom! I don't need the Lightroom catalogue to live on the NAS but at least support picture storage on a NAS.

"When I create the denoised image, Lightroom puts the new image in a new folder that doesn't exist outside of lightroom. "
This is a well-known problem, called the 'Capitalisation problem'. Basically, what happens is that you have two different folders, one called ‘XXXX’ (or a combination of upper- and lower cast) and the other one called ‘xxxx’. In other words, the names are the same, except for the capitalisation of at least one letter. Because MacOS and Windows are case-insensitive, your OS sees those two folders as one and the same folder and so it deals with this without you even being aware of it. You will only see one single folder in the Mac Finder or Windows Explorer!!! But Lightroom is case-sensitive, so Lightroom does see two different folders. Here's how to fix the problem. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/capitalization-catalog-error/

En mi caso no aparece el panel para regular el ruido, simplemente ejecuta, sin crear un nuevo DNG y modificando el mismo raw agregando cuadros de error
"
In my case the panel to regulate the noise does not appear, it simply executes, without creating a new DNG and modifying the raw itself by adding error boxes"
I don't know how to correct it, in the previous version of Camera Raw it worked well, although it often drew the same error frames.

That is the new version of Camera Raw. It has a public beta of a new method of Denoise, that does not create a DNG anymore. It is not Lightroom and this new method cannot be used in Lightroom yet.

The problem for me was the file name. It had a comma and a slash. Simplify the file name and it will probably work. It did for me.
