Hello
I downloaded the free trial of Clean My Mac X. I rant the first couple of "optimisation" options before the trial came abruptly to a halt. I feel really stupid for doing it because now I am almost constantly faced with the dreaded spinning circle of death when I use Lightroom. I am using a top of the range MacBook Pro 15 inch.
This makes me sad.
Has anyone any ideas how I should go about fixing my Mac from the "cleaning"?
Many thanks
Shane

It's not clear to me that one is related to the other. Why do you think this is the case?

The best bet is that you should ask in a Mac forum.

Thanks dj_paige.
I suspect one is related to the other because Lightroom has worked like a dream for me since I bought the laptop almost a year ago and the performance issues seem to have arisen since I used Clean My Mac. I cannot say for certain that it is the cause but I suspect it may have something to do with it. Upgrading from Sierra to High Sierra could have been something to do with it too I guess though I am not so sure about the timing of that coinciding.
You are right, though, I should probably take this to a Mac forum. Thanks.
Kind regards
Shane

Just for the record, updating Lightroom Classic to the new version 8 has "fixed" the performance issues I described above.
It may even be slightly faster than it previously was.

'Clean My Mac' has a habit of removing files required by applications rendering them useless. Best place for it is your Mac's trash.

I got Clean My Mac after a specific recommendation from the Genius Bar at a local Apple store here in Melbourne, Australia.
Haven't noticed any ill effects in using it but not sure if my MacBook Air really needs it either.
