Copy Button Freezes

Everytime I use the COPY button to copy my edits and paste onto another photo, the computer freezes! Have to shut down computer manually to start over.  Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Quit Lightroom Classic.
macOS: Press and hold the Shift + Option keys.
Windows: Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic.
When asked, select "Yes".

I had this issue... turns out i unplugged my second monitor, and copy settings kinda showed up on second screen space..therefore couldnt click anything else.... had to use windows+P to turn ir off.. so that everything is on one screen! Maybe by some weird coincidence someone else is having this issue 😄

      It worked! Thank you! Your method didn't actually work, but resetting
      preferences manually did work (option 3 for resetting preferences.)

      What type of images do you work with? JPEG or RAW? Do the images have any masks?

      Hi Sameer K,
      I primarily work in RAW images and sometimes JPG. This is occurring in
      both types of images. I turned off the Graphics processor,
      updated Lightroom, restarted computer and it is still happening. The copy
      & paste buttons both highlight when I hover over them. But when I click
      on the copy button, the program freezes and I have to manually shut off
      computer.
