Edit in Photoshop not providing Copy dialog

Windows 10, Lightroom Classic 8.1, Photoshop 20.0.1

It has been awhile since I tried to open a RAW file from Classic with "Edit in Photoshop".  It used to be that I was given a box with choices of Edit A Copy With Lightroom Classic CC Adjustments, Edit A Copy or Edit Original.

It would then open as a TIFF in Photoshop.

Now I don't get the box of choices and it opens in Photoshop as the RAW file.

I'm stumped!  How do I get Classic to give me the choices to make a TIFF copy again?

Thanks.

Bill

That only happens when LR and PS are not using the same version of ACR. If both programs are using the same version of ACR you don't get that dialog box.

Or if you are sending a TIFF, PSD, JPG or PNG file to PS.

As soon as the RAW file open in PS press Ctrl + the s key. The RAW file will turn into a TIFF or PSD. Whichever format you have chosen in the External Editing sectrion of the LR Preferences.

    Sir:

My Lightroom seems have similar problem, I could use "edit in PS2019" to direct edit my raw file past, but recently Lr ordered me to send TIFF or psd to PS in preference. After the update 2 days ago I can use "edit in PS2019" again but I can't do any layer edit in PS, that spent me so much time to convert file formate. My laptop also meets same problem. Hope to solve this soon.

Have PS open before you send a image file to it from LR.
