Hi to all,

I am experimenting some issues with the lens correction module with the Tamron 35-150 2.0-2.8 paired with sony A1.

- the adobe lens profile it looks like to over correct the lens. white vignet and sometime also barrel or pinch distortion depending on the focal length i am shooting with.

LR reconize the built in profile. I guess just for chromatic aberration because if i tick out the profile correction the lens is uncorected despide the built.in profile is read and apply by lightroom.

do somebody have any clue about this problem?

is there a way to force LR to read the original profile of the brand

best

Gio

Please post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of the Lens Corrections panel along with the pop-up that appears when you click "i Build-in Lens Profile applied", e.g.

That will let us see precisely which options are selected.

I didn't fully understand your original post.

The screenshot shows that LR has applied the lens profile embedded in the raw by Sony. That profile corrects chromatic aberration only. Sony, not Adobe, has decided that users shouldn't be able to disable that built-in profile.

The screenshot also shows that you've enabled the Adobe-supplied lens profile to be applied on top of the built-in profile. If you don't like the results, you've got several options:

1. Adjust the Distortion and Vignetting sliders on the Profile tab, saving those settings in a preset.

2. Adjust the sliders in the Manual tab, possibly after unchecking Enable Profile Corrections, and saving those settings in a preset.

3. Make your own lens profile with the Adobe Lens Profile Creator:

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/digital-negative.html#Adobe_Lens_Profile_Creator

You could post a request to Adobe for a better Adobe-supplied lens profile:

If you do that, I recommend that upload a few sample raws showing the problem to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar, and including the sharing link. Also include screenshots of the photos in Develop showing the undesired results.
