lighroom classic no "add" import possible

Adobe has acknowledged this bug in the official Adobe feedback forum:

Please add your constructive opinion to the bug report, and be sure to click Me Too and Follow in the upper-right corner. That will make it a little more likely that Adobe will prioritize a fix, and you'll be notified when the bug's status changes.

Make sure the extra access permissions are set up correctly for Classic. There is a new preference in Catalina that you should get a prompt about when Classic first runs on Catalina but seems to not always come up. You can manually set them. See the screenshot below for where to look in the Security and Privacy settings. Make sure Classic gets all the permissions it needs as below.

Don't know, someone else will have to chip in here. Not a Mac user.

Is this in reference to images on a card? If that is the case then the Add option would not be available. If the images are on the hard drive then that is a different story. Please clarify.
