Lightroom Classic to external hard drive on MacBook Pro M1 and Ventura OS

Hello,

    I just purchased an Apple Macbook Pro M1 with Ventura OS. Lightroom Classic doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have a way to make Lightroom Classic work writing to a catalog on an external hard drive?
