Lightroom does not have access to some standard folders (still)

LrC 13.0.1.  Maybe a bug, maybe not. I have been gettng the error message for several versions about Lightroom not having access to standard folders. Yes, I've see the post about how to enable this or to enable full disk access. I believe I have followed the instructions for the standard folders but I continue to get this message on startup. Everything seems to work fine. I could check "Don't show again" but that seems like the wrong solution.  Do they really mean full disk access? If so, why would LRC need full disk access and why doesn' t the error message reflect this?

    Ok. Fine. I will give LrC full disk access. Oh, wait. LrC isn't even in the list of programs to provide full disk access. LrC and Photoshop do show up in Files and Folder permissions and are enabled.  Definitely a bug here somewhere.

    Files and folders access is not enough. You must add Lightroom to Full Disk Access. I'm typing this on my iPad right now, so I cannot check this, but there should be a plus button to manually add it if it is not listed yet. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/quick-tips-how-to-give-full-disk-access-to-lightroom-classic-on-macos/td-p/12913413
    If that is not possible, then perhaps reinstalling Lightroom Classic will cause it to ask for permisson on its first launch.

    Your screenshot shows you've granted Files and Folders access to Lightroom:

     

    But LR needs Full Disk Access instead:

    Thanks. That's kind of what I figured. Then the error message is incorrect, or at best misleading,  so should be a bug.

    No, this is not a bug. Like John said, you had given Lightroom Classic insufficient permissions, so the error message was correct. 'Files and Folders' is no longer enough since Apple thightened the security in MacOS Monterey and later. Lightroom Classic now needs 'Full Disk Access'. Again; see Quick Tips: How to give Full Disk Access to Lightroom Classic on macOS

    This may seem unnecessary to you, but you may find at some point that you cannot save a preset or something else like that, if you have not granted those permissions.
