Lightroom Main Display is frozen on the first pic in the folder

This problem started when I made an attempt to start a client shoot tethered to my laptop. I might have inadvertently done this incorrectly or pressed an incorrect button. Now, photos can be loaded into a folder, but the main display will not move beyond the first picture, even when another picture is highlighted in the lower tray. The secondary display seems to work in LOupe view, but this isn't adequate for my needs. How do I solve this problem?

Thanks.

Bob Cullen

Can you delete that first photo? What happens if you turn off the secondary display?

    Hi Bob,

What are your intentions for the incoming tethered photos? Full screen view for a client, or Develop?

    Two things come to mind-

    1. What option is checked for  Menu > Photo > Auto Advance ?

    2. Is the Caps Lock key pressed? This can change auto-advance methods.

Thanks for the hints. I seem to have solved the problem. I used your tip on

the cap lock key, plus rebooted the computer. I didn't see any options

under Menu/Photo/Auto Advance. I just clicked on it.

By the way, is your name actually Rob Cullen? If so, it's nice to encounter

a nominal doppelganger. My full name is Robert Cullen.

    Thanks and best,
