Lightroom raw support for Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II

I am shooting the new Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II. I am using the latest Lightroom 5. (I cancelled my Lightroom 6 because it kept crashing).

Lightroom has no support for the new E-M1.2.

What do I do ?

Lightroom has provisional support for the E-M1 MkII in version 6.8 !

Lightroom 6.8 runs a few minutes between crashes. I returned it !!!

If you insist on staying with LR 5, you can use the free, downloadable Adobe DNG Converter to make RAW copies of you Olympus files in the DNG format that LR 5 will use.

We're just users here in this forum, Bengt. We have no control over this. You might want to contact Adobe directly about this, however it's pretty clear that they have stopped supporting LR 5, and I doubt that will change.

whsprague​ has stated the solution if you want to use Lightroom 5.

No, he has not. I just downloaded the latest DNG converter and it does not convert raw files from Olympus omd em1.2 to .DNG

Perhaps you could describe what is happening, and we can advise how to correct the problem? Also state the exact version number of the DNG converter you downloaded.

Jag har använt DNG converter 9.2 (såväl som 9.1.1)

Actually, that specific model isn't even on the list. There is a OM-DE-M10  Mark II Listed, but not the M1.

The camera in question has been shipping retail in the USA for only a very short time.  It is not a "big deal" in the DSLR world, but has been a "very big deal" in the mirrorless m4/3 world for a couple weeks.

Lightroom 6 använder tydligen DNG Converter 9.8 som finns i camera raw 9.8.

my disapointment concerned the files recorded in high resolution ORF of the mk2, that version 9.8 DNG converter does not recognize

but

I note "Preliminary support available" on the help adobe, and I hope we'll soon be able to extract that precious files

Use the software supplied with the camera to convert those High Resolution ORF files into something LR can read.

We need Lightroom to be able to read EM1.2 raw without taking extra steps.
