To start I have no problems with Photoshop/PS Beta or Premiere Pro, only LR Classic. I have a pretty powerful system and I built it with overkill in mind. I won't say it's not the system but it has SSDs for the Operating system and I have a separate SSD as my Photography drive that houses my photos and the Lightroom files.
I wish there was a way to reinstall LR over the current install and see if that does anything but I don't see a simple solution.
I'm updated on all my drivers and current versions of Apps... Maybe someone can see in the system info that I copied from the preferences in LR...

Is there any specific action in Develop that causes this crash?
Is your GPU driver a studio driver and not a game driver?
What happens if you — as an experiment — turn off one of the monitors?

Sure you can. But reinstalling LrC (not LR) isn't really likely to help.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.
Did you see a crash dialog?
Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?
Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

No crash dialog, LR just closes. I am always in the develop module and it seems like I try to click back and forth between two images. Not even that quickly. Some time LR just disappears and others it stops responding. I usually see the blue wait symbol (circular blue, processing what you want me to do). When I see that, I just stop because within a second or two it will be gone. I've been trying to work more in the Library but I can't remember if it happens there.

You will need to interrogate your OS's logging in order to determine what is happening. I suspect you have a GPU issue that is crashing on the OS level but the MS logs would need to determine that.

I will take a look to see if anything stands out but the fact is that it only seems to happen in the Develop module and it does not happen outside of Lightroom. As you saw in the data included. This system is very powerful and I did suspect that so after dealing with this for the past few months (its getting worse) I update the sys bios, the GPU driver has also been updated...
So I think it still leads me to believe that LR develop is having an issue.
I wonder also since it only happens in the develop module, I purchased a few years ago a package of filters, I do not know the photographer that was selling them... Could filters cause problems in their scripts?

Here is what windows tells me... I'm afraid I don't see something actionable for me to tackle... Anything from your POV?

This stands out "ntdll"
I would recommend researching fixes for Apps crashing due to ntdll.dll. There are occasional threads regarding this module crashing various apps with the symptoms you describe. Lightroom is sometimes involved - sometimes not.

I did a reset/reload of Windows 11 and I tried LR again and it dropped like a rock after a few filter selections. I did earlier today get a crash window and I put my email in the window. So you should see a diagnostic of what Lightroom saw. Maybe that will help pinpoint the issue...

Nothing here yet -but I am seeing crashes for about 30 minutes ago.
The next time you crash with dialog, fill out the dialog, screenshot it and post it here please.

considering this was the first crash dialog I've seen in recent history, I wouldn't hold my breath... Oh in the past 20 min, it has probably crashed 10-12 times just so you know... I have SSDs so I can get back to work quickly (very fast) but it quits just as fast with nary a dialog or By Your Leave... 🙂

I have noticed and been involved in several of those postings related to ntdll. And few if any appear to be resolved.
I think one member resolved via a complete re-install of Windows OS then a complete reinstall of LrC etc.
One member has a workaround (of sorts) where the member reverted to a catalog backup
Perhaps Adobe should create a document on how to fix this one.

well, I did do a complete reset of Windows but I don't plan to wipe the SSD and reinstall. That is more work than I plan to do.
I did uninstall LR while keeping my files and reinstalled it. I can grab the most recent backup and put that aside and uninstall and then rebuild my presets... Again more than I would like...

I've sent a note to the team regarding the MS ntdll.dll crash and included this thread and another. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/crash-ntdll-dll/td-p/14947263
If they have a solution I will post it back.

Hi Rikk, I went and did the heavy lifting and erased my SSD (C drive) since I was seeing slower speeds but the software for the Samsung SSD still said that was in is nothing wrong with it. I would assume that there was a corrupted windows file there that even resetting Windows 11 did not fix so Backed up and dumped everything. So after reinstalling it all, I have no crashes in the develop module so I will consider this closed... I don't think it's a good answer to erase the C-drive in order to fix this but for me it worked...

Thanks for reporting back. I am glad you are working again but not excited about what it took to fix.

Was having similar issues - LRC was crashing to desktop when switiching between images within Develop Module. Just downloaded and ran the .Net Framwork Repair Tool which made some repairs, followed by a Windows Update to reinstall .NetFramework. This seems to have fixed the problem (fingers crossed) and am back to working on images.

Hi Jack, I tried the same thing but the .Net Framework said it couldn't repair but did say what was broken either... So no effect for me. Only the Develop module has an issue. As long as I do all my work in the library mod I;m ok. I can even go into Develop and apply a preset to an image or two and remove an item but if I stay in there too long it will crash when clicking between thumbnails
